As part of the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine Archive's Explore your Archives series of events, we are holding an Exchange of Experience on Research Data Management (RDM) and Archives. The focus of the event will be to explore the relationship between Research Data Management professionals and Archivists and how they can work more closely together to ensure an equitable approach to the management of research data. There is growing evidence that there is a lack of communication between the two professions, this is apparent through messages on the RDM jiscmail list asking for advice on how to manage archival material and also through Archivists being excluded from RDM projects within their own institutions.
There will be short presentations from two speakers: Victoria Cranna from LSHTM and Anne Barrett from Imperial College, and then a discussion session.Refreshments and sandwich lunch included
